A Restore Your Core Workshop

Women on all fours with extended arm and leg

Join me for my next Core + Floor Connect workshop on Saturday 28 March 2020.

Do some of these sound familiar?

  • You leak pee either through a stressor (eg. running, jumping, laughing, sneezing, coughing) or through urge because you just can’t make it to the toilet on time.
  • You’ve been told you have or suspect you have a diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles) and you either don’t know what to do about it or the advice you’ve been given doesn’t seem to be helping.
  • You’ve been told you’ve got a weak core and/or weak glutes and you’d like to know how to strengthen them.
  • You want your body to feel strong and capable of doing whatever you want to throw at it.
  • You’ve been told you need to do your pelvic floor exercises or that your pelvic floor is weak and you’re really not sure how to go about strengthening those.
  • You’re wanting to understand better your body and to know what you can do to help it function well for years to come.
  • You’re really curious about what Restore Your Core can do for you, but so far none of the course times have suited you or you haven’t been able to commit for the course; and/or
  • You’ve attended a Restore Your Core course or Mindful Movement and Strength for Women Course and want to dive deeper.
  • You would love a day to spend concentrating on you and your mind and body’s wellbeing.

Sneeze Pee? Weak Core? Diastasis Recti?

Restore Your Core is a comprehensive core and pelvic floor strengthening method that targets your whole body in order to regain function.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to train your core and pelvic floor muscles to be reflexive and responsive to your body.
  • How to eliminate and prevent common core dysfunction triggers.
  • Common core blind spots that might be preventing you from gaining strength and seeing results.
  • How to exercise with confidence that you are not causing more damage to your core + pelvic floor.

This workshop is a combination of both movement and education and will give you many take-home tools to help you shift your approach to building a more functional and strong core. If you struggle with diastasis recti, a weak core, back pain, pelvic organ prolapse or are just looking to build a sustainable movement practice with an integrated core – this workshop is for you.

Let me help you get on the right track with some n Let me help you get on the right track with some new healthy habits. When was the last time you sat down and worked out exactly what you needed to do for your mind and your body to feel good. When was the last time you put them first?

I know it’s hard at the moment. You’re literally trying not to drop all the balls. I saw something recently on here about making sure you drop the rubber balls and not the glass ones. If there was only one glass one, it would be you. If you are not feeling well in your body and mind then you may struggle to fulfill all the requests and demands and the things you want to do for everyone else.

Thank you @thepsychologymum for this brilliant artwork. Her account is well worth a follow.

I can't think of a more appropriate time to start I can't think of a more appropriate time to start another round of 28 Days of Wellbeing.

People (particularly) women are being pushed to their limits with increased restrictions, work, homeschooling, health worries, financial worries.

I want to help you to reclaim some time and energy by offering you a short exercise video delivered daily directly to you (via Facebook and/or WhatsApp).

You will also receive access to over 50 other videos some even shorter, some longer and some instructional ones for painful knees and backs.

Finally, you'll be able to participate in 4 x 30 minute live Zoom classes and if you miss them there will be a replay.

I would love to help you reclaim some time and energy for you.

If in doubt walk... So many things to think about If in doubt walk...

So many things to think about, work through for the coming weeks, but first to treat my body and mind to some nature. The feeling of the mud squelching beneath my feet, the cold air on my face and that reminder that I’m alive and well.

I’ll certainly be getting in my daily walks over the coming weeks. It’s a non-negotiable for me. And my reminder to myself is that it’s best to go I’m the morning for me! Really sets up my day.

What’s going on your daily non-negotiable list?

Wow, another national lockdown. I’m certainly f Wow, another national lockdown. I’m certainly feeling all the emotions right now. Please don’t suffer alone. This great infographic from @thehappynewspaper has many resources if you don’t feel like you can talk to someone you know. Today, I’ve chatted to my mum, jumped on WhatsApp groups with friends and posted in the @thrivecollectiveclub Facebook group. I know I’ll be leaning on those groups for support in the coming weeks, whilst also providing support where I can.
2020 in books! Although I’ve realised I need to 2020 in books!

Although I’ve realised I need to keep better book reading records to do this year on year!

I’m an info addict. When I did @gretchenrubin’s four tendencies test my most dominant tendency is as questioner. That didn’t surprise me one bit. For as long as I can remember, any subject I’m interested in I read and I listen and I research. I had a bit of a hiatus from reading when the girls were really young, but now I’m fully back into my evening bath time and reading routine. These were my reads of 2020. I read Do Less twice - I loved it so much and found it so relevant, but one of the other books trumped it as my book of the year. Can you guess which was my book of the year?

What was your book of the year?

Happy New Year to you all!
The full moon from the early hours of this morning The full moon from the early hours of this morning and that full moon energy stays for another day or so. The perfect time to release whatever doesn’t serve you whether it be looking at social media or the news or worrying about things in the future. Falling at the end of year serves as a doubly great time to reflect and release. What have you learned from 2020. What stays? What needs to go? I know 2021 for me is looking to find the joy in every day. Life’s too short and precious to waste on doing many things that I don’t find joyful!

What’s on your joy list for 2021?
