Terms and Conditions for 1-2-1 sessions with Emma Riedo Movement

I wish to participate in the 1-2-1 session offered by Emma Riedo Movement.  I understand there may be some risks in participating in a programme of physical exercise.  I agree that Emma Riedo or Emma Riedo Movement shall not be liable or responsible for any personal injuries to me resulting from my participation in this exercise and training programme.  I understand that Emma Riedo is not medically trained and any information that she gives me is not medical advice.  I understand that it is my responsibility to seek approval from my doctor that participating in this type of exercise programme is appropriate for me.

I confirm that the answers to the questions outlined when I book a 1-2-1 are true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to inform Emma of any conditions or changes in my health, now and ongoing, which might affect my ability to exercise safely and with minimal risk of injury.

I understand that I am not obligated to perform nor participate in any activity that I do not wish to do, and that it is my right to refuse such participation at any time during my training sessions. I understand that should I feel lightheaded, faint, dizzy, nauseated, or experience pain or discomfort, I am to stop the activity and inform Emma.

I understand the results of any exercise programme cannot be guaranteed and my progress depends on my effort and cooperation in and outside of the sessions.

During a training session Emma may use touch to correct alignment and/or to focus concentration on a particular muscle area to be targeted. If I feel uncomfortable or experience any type of discomfort from this approach, I will immediately inform Emma who will discontinue her use of this technique.  Please see additional terms in relation to COVID-19.

I understand that if I am unable to attend my 1-2-1 session, I will be able to rebook my appointment when I give 24 hours or more notice.  If I give less than 24 hours notice, no rebooking will be possible.

If you are unwell, please do not attend your session.  You will be able to rebook your session if you have to cancel your session due to COVID-19 symptoms.

Emma Riedo may need to postpone your session if she or a member of her family is unwell.  You may be given the option to move an in-person session to Zoom/online or to reschedule on another day.  Emma endeavours to give you as much notice as possible if she should need to offer you a Zoom session or to reschedule your session.

All purchases are non-refundable except at the discretion of Emma Riedo and in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

If I bring my baby to the session, I understand that my baby and his or her safety and wellbeing is my responsibility at all times.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude Emma Riedo’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or to limit any liability in a way that is not permitted under applicable laws.  These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England Wales and any disputes relating to these terms and conditions or any classes undertaken will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

I understand that if I am unable to attend a class, I will not be refunded for the missed class.  The class homework video will still be available to me and I will have the option to ask questions in the Emma Riedo Movement Community on facebook or by email.

In the event that Emma Riedo is unwell or a member of her family is unwell, Emma reserves the right to move the class to Zoom/online, in which case you will be notified with as much notice as possible.  If the class needs to be cancelled either another date/time will be proposed or you will have the option of a refund or a credit against future classes or a 1-2-1 session.  You will be advised how much the credit is worth at the time.

All purchases are non-refundable except at the discretion of Emma Riedo and in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.  Emma Riedo reserves the right to cancel the block of classes at her discretion.  If the entire block of classes is cancelled, you will be given a full refund of any payment made.

If I bring my baby to the class (because it is a mums and babies class), I understand that my baby and his or her safety and wellbeing is my responsibility at all times.

I understand that Emma Riedo will not be liable to me in respect of any of my personal property in the event that it is lost, stolen or damaged before, during or after a class.

Let me help you get on the right track with some n Let me help you get on the right track with some new healthy habits.  When was the last time you sat down and worked out exactly what you needed to do for your mind and your body to feel good.  When was the last time you put them first?

I know it’s hard at the moment.  You’re literally trying not to drop all the balls.  I saw something recently on here about making sure you drop the rubber balls and not the glass ones.  If there was only one glass one, it would be you.  If you are not feeling well in your body and mind then you may struggle to fulfill all the requests and demands and the things you want to do for everyone else.

If in doubt walk... So many things to think about If in doubt walk...

So many things to think about, work through for the coming weeks, but first to treat my body and mind to some nature.  The feeling of the mud squelching beneath my feet, the cold air on my face and that reminder that I’m alive and well.

I’ll certainly be getting in my daily walks over the coming weeks.  It’s a non-negotiable for me.  And my reminder to myself is that it’s best to go I’m the morning for me! Really sets up my day.

Wow, another national lockdown. I’m certainly f Wow, another national lockdown.  I’m certainly feeling all the emotions right now.  Please don’t suffer alone.  This great infographic from @thehappynewspaper has many resources if you don’t feel like you can talk to someone you know.  Today, I’ve chatted to my mum, jumped on WhatsApp groups with friends and posted in the @thrivecollectiveclub Facebook group.  I know I’ll be leaning on those groups for support in the coming weeks, whilst also providing support where I can.
2020 in books! Although I’ve realised I need to 2020 in books!

Although I’ve realised I need to keep better book reading records to do this year on year! 

I’m an info addict.  When I did @gretchenrubin’s four tendencies test  my most dominant tendency is as questioner.  That didn’t surprise me one bit.  For as long as I can remember, any subject I’m interested in I read and I listen and I research.  I had a bit of a hiatus from reading when the girls were really young, but now I’m fully back into my evening bath time and reading routine.  These were my reads of 2020. I read Do Less twice - I loved it so much and found it so relevant, but one of the other books trumped it as my book of the year.  Can you guess which was my book of the year?

The full moon from the early hours of this morning The full moon from the early hours of this morning and that full moon energy stays for another day or so.  The perfect time to release whatever doesn’t serve you whether it be looking at social media or the news or worrying about things in the future.  Falling at the end of year serves as a doubly great time to reflect and release.  What have you learned from 2020. What stays? What needs to go?  I know 2021 for me is looking to find the joy in every day.  Life’s too short and precious to waste on doing many things that I don’t find joyful!
